Shawn Chhabra- Take It One Step At a Time For Publishing Success, get Published Get Noticed Book!

So you finally see the credibility behind publishing your own book. You see how this can help you to take your business, your brand, and your very self to the next level. Though you may have recognized this before, you now know without a doubt that this is the way to go. You will gain some really great visibility from all of this, and therefore it will serve as your best marketing tool possible. So how do you proceed from there?

As with anything it’s best to take it one step at a time. If you look at publishing your own book as one huge task then it’s going to be completely overwhelming. If instead you can think through what you need to do one activity at a time, then you will be far more successful. This will help your focus, ensure that you don’t take on more than you should at a time, and also help you to get organized and stay on task.

Here are some helpful tips to ensure that you take this all one step at a time and therefore enjoy long term success out of publishing. It really can work, and this can work as a sort of checklist for you as you move along.

Consider what your main focus will be: You have an idea or something to start the process in your mind, so consider what it is. Whatever your idea starter may be, no matter how big or small, this will form the path towards success. Consider what niche, what area, what expertise or skill you want to focus on for your main idea of the book. Just identifying this will help you to get started and move in the right direction, and that’s all it takes!

Get your ideas onto paper, just as an initial overview: This doesn’t mean that you have to actually write the book, but rather that you just get ideas down on paper. Put pen to paper and write what you want to focus on and any stream of consciousness. Consider this to be a sort of brainstorming

session, for that is what will count in getting you heading in the right direction.

Just develop your idea a bit and then you will have a path towards moving things forward. If you’re not the writer, at least coming up with an outline or overview of topics will be key to your success with this.

Align yourself with the right resources and tools to bring your ideas to life: If you plan to hire a ghostwriter or just an editor, search for one. Put together your plan of attack and ensure that you align yourself with all the right resources to make it successful. You might need a good writer, a thorough editor, or simply a good agent or publishing house.

Consider how in depth you will get with the actual writing or activities and what you will outsource. Once you know this then you can plan for your needs and ensure that you get it altogether in a comprehensive way—all part of the plan!

Consider how the publishing process will work for you: Everyone approaches publishing differently and that’s a good thing. What works for one person may not work for you, so just consider making this process work in the best possible way for you. If you don’t have a lot of writing experience then self publishing may not work for you. Do your research and figure out which type of publishing will best fit your needs and skills, and then make a plan to integrate this important step.

Get the word out and market your book as a successful business tool: Though your book will eventually market itself, you need to put forth some effort initially. You will want to put thought into your marketing strategy so that you know how to get the word out that you have a published book.
